His father, Christopher Cornelius “Kit” Culkin, is the brother of Bonnie Bedelia and a former performer well known for his Broadway performances. The woman who raised him is Patricia Brentrup.
Christian’s name was chosen because it was similar to Christopher, the name of his father, and Patrick, the name of his mother Patricia.

Christian Culkin: Profession, Career
Christian Culkin co-starred with his brother Kieran in Bob Clark’s comedy My Summer Story in 1994. The movie was a follow-up to the 1983 movie A Christmas Story. Christian played the role of Randy Parker in the film.
