King Salman was born as the 25th son of Saudi Arabia’s founder, Ibn Saud. King Salman was raised in the Murabba Palace. He attended Ibn Saud’s Princes School in Riyadh’s capital city, where he studied Modern Science as well as religion.
On December 31, 1935, King Salman was born to Ibn Saud, Saudi Arabia’s first monarch, and founder. The Sudairi Seven is Salman’s six full brothers. Murabba Palace was where the King was raised.
He studied religion and modern science before being appointed Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province at the age of 19. Later, on 5 February 1963, he was appointed provincial governor, a position he held until 5 November 2011.

Following Sarah, he married Fahda bint Falah bin Sultan Al Kathleen, with whom he had six children.
