LaVine thought it was time to advance their relationship with Mar after nearly eight years of being partners in all aspects of life. In 2020, Zach LaVine and Hunter Mar became engaged.
LaVine and Mar were spending time with their loved ones at home during the pandemic, just like everyone else was. Since LaVine started competing in the NBA, the couple spent more time together.
