Eddie Griffin, a well-known American actor, and comedian, who was born on July 15, 1968. Eddie Griffin had a life filled with uncertainty before beginning his comedic career. He joined the US navy but was shortly fired because of his marijuana use. Additionally, he spent six months in prison after being accused of assault following a scuffle.
Griffin first did stand-up in 1989 in an open mic at a comedy club solely to win a bet, but his gags about his family won him standing ovations. That evening aided in his success in landing work both locally and in Los Angeles.
