Kodak Black: Career & Education

Kodak started rapping with some of his cousins while he was a student at C. Robert Markham Elementary School. Early on, Lil Bossie was a source of inspiration for him. He would compete against neighborhood kids for money, and just like in spelling bees, he would triumph over some older males.
When he was 12 years old, he performed his rap rhymes for some of the older men in his community, who were impressed. They soon invited Kodak to their home studio so they could start recording, but their studio was more than simply a computer and a microphone—it was also a trap house.
Kodak was then exposed to hustling for the first time. He didn’t care about the street, but he went to the trap house every day after school to make music despite having little interest in it.
After being in the trap home long enough, he began hustling for extra money thanks to the influence of his new buddies. To obtain a diploma, Kodak enrolled at Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach in 2014. However, by the time he graduated in 2018, he was still imprisoned.
