Mac Demarco is the stage name of McBriare Samuel Lanyon given to him by his parents Vernor Winfield McBriare Smith IV. Mac Demarco was born on April 30, 1990. He is a musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and maker from Canada. DeMarco has released six colossal studio albums. His musical style has been described as “blue waves.”
Mac went to Vancouver in 2008 after finishing high school, where he eventually began releasing music on his own. The best songs he had produced as a solo artist were collected on an EP he spent a whole year making called “Heat Wave.” While “Heat Wave” enjoyed consistent success, Mac was also interested in other parts of art and created some trippy music videos.
