Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado was born on March 13, 1992, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, under the sign of Pisces, of Puerto Rican and Dominican origin. His father was a dancer for reggaeton artist and songwriter Vico C, but he was shot in 1995, therefore his mother reared him alone. They relocated to New York City when he was eight years old and resided there for three years. By the time he was 12, he was already composing tunes.

Ozuna launched his debut single, “Imaginando,” in 2012, followed by a collaboration with the urban music combo Musicologo & Menes. Two years later, he joined Golden Family Records and released the smash single “Si Tu Marido No Te Quiere,” which gained him worldwide recognition.
