Lark Voorhies

On March 25, 1974, Lark Voorhies was born to Tricia Holloway, her mother, and Wayne Holloway, her father. When her father abandoned the family and her parents split, she was just 11 months old.

Since she was raised by her mother alone and had no other family members with whom to share her childhood, performance has always been her means of expressing herself and finding solace.

Lark and her mother relocated to Pasadena, California, when she was barely two years old because Tricia wanted her to become an actor. The future actress began attending auditions at an early age, but she didn’t land her first commercial until she was 12 years old. However, three years after she made her debut in a commercial, in 1989, she landed her largest role to date.

In “Saved By the Bell,” Lark portrayed the role of “Lisa Turtle,” and she had an appearance in 86 episodes. This was a major break in her career, and she made a lot of relationships. However, after her involvement in the show ended, she had a lot of turmoil in both her professional and personal lives. Her romantic and marital relationships were also affected by all of this.

What is the Relationship between Lark and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, her co-star on “Saved By the Bell”?

Voorhies played Lisa Turtle in 86 episodes of the television program “Saved By the Bell,” which was her first significant job in the entertainment industry. She developed many relationships while she was on the show, primarily friendships, but she also met her first boyfriend there.

Although Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Lark had a romance that lasted the entire run of the program, they were still young and unable to make a long-term commitment.

Did she obtain a Ring for Martin Lawrence?

After Voorhies ended her relationship with Mark in 1993, she met Martin Lawrence, one of the most popular comedians of the 1990s who was conquering the globe. In a short period of time, the two developed a tight, intimate relationship that led to the couple’s engagement that same year.

But the couple broke up the engagement in 1994 for an undisclosed cause, thus it did not endure long.

Voorhies briefly went without a partner when the engagement was broken off, but she soon fell in love with Miguel Coleman, and the two later wed in 1996. The couple was content for a while, and their marriage was going well for around three years before Lark’s mental health issues became apparent.

Her bipolar disease made it difficult for her to concentrate, and her moods were out of control. For a while, the pair managed to make it work, but when things really started to spiral out of control, the married couple split in 2001 and divorced in 2004.

Who was her second husband?

Jimmy Green was her second husband. Voorhies’ first marriage had only lasted five years when it came to an end, and by the turn of the century, she was still not doing well.

She even pursued legal action against “The National Enquirer” when the newspaper published an article on Voorhies’ alleged drug use. The case was dismissed before it had even been open for two months.

When the two of them met in 2014 at a networking event, Jimmy Green entered her life while she dealt with her issues. Voorhies proposed to Green after they had been dating for nearly a year. They were wed on April 30, 2015. But she also realized that this marriage was not intended for her, so after just six months of marriage, she filed for divorce.
