Victoria and John met in a Brooklyn bar in 1958 and were married on March 6, 1962; at the time, John was one of New York’s most dangerous criminals.

Victoria gave birth to their five children over the years: Angel in 1961, Victoria in 1962, John A. in 1964, Frank in 1967, and Peter Gotti, Jr. in 1974. Their eldest son John A. Gotti grew up with his father and followed in his footsteps by becoming a gangster, while Victoria has become a writer.

Frank, their second-oldest son, was killed in a car accident at the age of 12 when his neighbor John Favara hit him with his car while he was riding a bicycle. Four months later, Favara disappeared, and it is thought that John had him murdered.

Victoria was heartbroken by the death of her son, and she spent nearly an entire year bedridden and despondent. Victoria and John had a luxurious lifestyle, and they frequently attended horse races together. Victoria recalls the days when John handed her money to gamble, but she would bet only a tiny amount and save the rest for their home.

John Gotti: Bio

John Joseph Gotti was born on 27 October 1940 in The Bronx, New York City, United States; his zodiac sign was Scorpio, and he possessed American citizenship. John, an Italian-American criminal, rose to become the boss of the

New York City-based Gambino crime family.

John was born to parents who were originally from San Giueseppe Vesuviano, a comune in Naples, Italy; his father John Joseph Gotti Sr., and mother Philomena had 12 additional children in addition to John, five of whom joined the Gambino crime family.

John attended Franklin K. Lane High School, but was expelled for bullying other students and for being absent the majority of the time; his father was a gambler who could barely provide for the family, which is why John despised him.

John joined his first gang at the age of 12, and at the age of 16 he befriended several lads who would eventually join the Gambino family; he began working for Carmine Fatico, a capo and captain in the family, at that time.

John was caught in February 1968 for stealing from United Airlines and again for stealing $50,000 worth of cigarettes while out on bail; he spent fewer than three years in prison for the United Airlines hijacking, while the charges for stealing cigarettes were dropped.

In June 1974, he was sentenced to four years in prison for killing McBratney, a man who had killed a nephew of the Gambino family head Carlo Gambino. He became a capo in the Gambino family in 1972.

After the new Gambino family boss Paul Castellano ended up in prison in 1984, John was chosen to serve as the family’s boss – he plotted to assassinate the boss after he was released from prison on 16 December 1985, and he declared the new boss at a meeting attended by 20 capos on 15 January 1986 – John chose Frank DeCicco as the underboss and Gallo as his consigliere (advisor and lawyer).

The Gambino family became the most powerful American mafia, earning over $500 million per year. John surrendered to the authorities on 14 December 1992 to face several charges. He then spent the rest of his life in the US Penitentiary at Marion, Illinois, spending the majority of his time in solitary confinement and being permitted to spend only one hour a day outside. Peter, the third son of John, became the family’s head in 1999; John died of throat cancer in prison on 19 June 2002 at the age of 61.
