On September 1, 1922, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Margaret Yvonne Middleton, a stunning and renowned actor, was born. Carlo was given the name “Peggy” by her mother in honor of the silent-film actress “Baby Peggy.” She is the daughter of William Shelto Middleton and Marie De Carlo. She started working with Paramount Pictures in 1942 and had a brief role in “Luck Jordan.” She has performed with the production company in uncredited roles in films including “Here Come the Waves” and “Bring the Girls,” among others.

She later tried out for the role of the exotic beauty girl in the Technicolor film “Salome, Where She Danced” at Universal. She subsequently agreed to a lengthy contract with the project.
