Onfroy (real name X) released his second album, “17,” in October 2016. It debuted at the top of the Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums lists on Billboard.

The month after, he collaborated with the apparel brand Supreme to produce a collection of white T-shirts with diverse slogans including “Stay Trash” and “F*ck Everyone Else.” However, Spotify withdrew 17 from its repertoire in February 2017 just as the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) was ready to certify it as gold because they believed the lyrics were inappropriate for listeners under the age of 18 at the time.
