On December 4, 1974, Daniel John Bongino was born in New York City. He graduated from Queens College with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology after attending Archbishop Molloy High School. After that, Bongino attended Pennsylvania State University and earned a master’s degree in business administration there.

Dan Bongino: Profession, Career
Bongino spent roughly 4 years working with the New York City Police Department before joining the US Secret Service. He later became a special agent with the Secret Service in 1999. During George W. Bush’s second administration, he was assigned to the Presidential Protection Division in 2006.
After Barack Obama was elected president, he continued to perform his duties. He made the decision to leave and run for the U.S. Senate in May 2011.
He made an unsuccessful bid for the Maryland U.S. Senate in 2012. He received 33.8% of the Republican primary vote, but in the general election, he came up short of Democratic incumbent Ben Cardin, who received 26.6% of the vote.
Later, Bongino challenged Democratic incumbent John Delaney in the 6th congressional district of Maryland’s race for the U.S. House of Representatives. He only fell short of Delaney by 2% points.
He relocated to Florida in 2015, and in 2016 he ran for office in Florida’s 18th congressional district. Francis Rooney won the nomination in the primary, defeating him for third place.
Bongino is the author of numerous works. His debut book, titled “Life Inside the Bubble,” details his work as a secret service operative. His experiences guarding Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama are discussed. The Fight: A Secret Service Agent’s Inside Account of Security Failings and the Political Machine, his second book, was later published in 2016.
In a book titled “Spygate: The Attempted Sabotage of Donald J. Trump,” Bongino also outlines the argument that the Obama government spied on Donald Trump.
In addition, Bongino frequently makes an appearance on media programs. He frequently serves as a guest host on the radio broadcasts of Mark Levin and Sean Hannity as well as on their FOX news programs.
As an alternative to the conservative website Drudge Report, he founded the website “Bongino Report” in December 2019. Additionally, he maintains a YouTube channel where he expresses his conservative opinions to his followers.
